"The Moroccan Project" is set to the bibrant drumming of Gnawa ceremonies as a backdrop for the haunting strains of oud (lute) and violin. Amid shifting rhythms and echoing voices, the talented dancers of LINES Ballet move with unexpected intimacy and grace.

Alonzo King's LINES Ballet was founded in San Francisco in 1982. Performances at the Joyce Theater in New York City will be May 1-6, 2007.
