2007-03-14 - Trumbull Girl Scouts

I got the fabulous opportunity to meet the Trumbull, CT Girl Scout Brownies so I could introduce them to dancing.

Some girls had been exposed to dance while others had very minimal exposure. I spoke with them about my background in dance and how I first got started.

I taught them some simple dance steps and the beginning of single-time east coast swing. I got to partner with each of them a little so they could get the feel of partner dancing.

It was a very rewarding experience for me as I know how important it is to expose the youth to dance as a social tool.
